A Lifetime Opportunity

Dec 22, 2022

Dear Devotees,

The new building of Maa Durga temple is set to be completed in early 2023. With the blessings of Maa Durga, we aim to begin worship in the new Temple in March 2023. Thank you very much for your overwhelming support in this journey. Now, we would like to share a once-a-lifetime opportunity with you. You can contribute towards the cost of the deities’ establishment in the new temple. Murti Sthapna Mahotsavam will take place before we start the operations in the new temple. All the donors and community members will be invited to establish the deities. This is an excellent opportunity to leave a legacy for generations. Please support your temple.

Multiple families can join in donating to one deity.

Our Durga Temple

About Us

Maa Durga Temple of Westchester is a place where we seek guidance and peace and become closer to God. Our individual contribution to Maa Durga Temple is the personal satisfaction of watching it become a center for individual growth. Hindu Community of Westchester and beyond together is running this temple with the blessings of Maa Durga!

The Temple host regular poojas, festivals, events and meetings. Our goal is to have Durga Temple to own a permanent place of worship in Westchester County as soon as possible. This is going to be a community temple, operated and managed completely by the Hindu community. We will welcome any community member to come forward to join us in this endeavor.

“Extremely comforting”

An environment which is extremely comforting, a place of worship, where everyone is welcome. Provides a safe place to get to know the cultural aspect as well as the religious aspects of 🕉 Hinduism. If you are in luck, you will chance upon the aroma and get to sample of some fine vegetarian cooking provided by volunteers who are members of the temple. Free yoga classes held by a family that is well versed in the practices and benefits of this ancient Indian tradition. Gita class are given by highly qualified individual and I have been to several. Indepth discussion and knowledge is provided during these Gita classes which are held on Tuesdays.

“Everyone is welcoming”

This temple is one place where I feel I am with my big family. Everyone is welcoming and understanding. I love visiting this place more coz there are no restrictions for kids. The events planned here are mainly for children. After visiting so many temples I personally relate to this place the most. Fortunate to have friends like family here and hope we continue to grow!

“Beautiful and peaceful”

Durga Temple is very beautiful and peaceful place. My family got invited by one of our friend. People are very helpful and close knit. Everybody pitches in with something or the other. There are Cultural events planned for every occasion, which always includes activities by kids as well as grown ups followed by prasad. Kids are always excited to visit. I highly recommend visiting the temple.
